Ray James Defends Kofi Kinaata, Reveals Full Support for His Music Video

Stories occasionally emerge in the media in the Western Region, claiming that prominent entertainment figures from the area do not support upcoming artists.

Kofi Kinaata has often been at the center of such criticism. However, Ray James, a former Rufftown Records signee, has dismissed these claims, stating that they are baseless and that he himself has benefited from Kinaata’s generosity.

In particular, Ray James revealed that Kinaata, also known as Martin King Arthur, fully funded the production of his yet-to-be-released music video for the song ‘The One’.

“I didn’t want to say this on air, and Kinaata wouldn’t even want me to say it, but sometimes people in Takoradi claim that Kinaata doesn’t help people from the Western Region. But Kinaata paid for ‘The One’ music video,” Ray James shared.

He explained that he didn’t even need to ask Kinaata for the support; the Fante Rap God reached out on his own and offered to cover the entire cost of the video shoot. Ray James suspects that Kinaata’s interest in the song led him to take this initiative.

He made this revelation during a conversation with Ato Kwamina Otoo D’Gem on Connect FM in Takoradi.
