Shatta Wale and Crew Allegedly Assault Road Supervisor Over Unfinished Project

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale, along with a group of individuals reportedly from Nima, is said to have assaulted a supervisor at a road construction site in Adjiringanor, Accra, for failing to extend the road to his office.

In videos that have gone viral on social media, an enraged Shatta Wale was seen shouting and insulting the contractors present when he arrived with his team on motorbikes.

In response to the incident, the engineer overseeing the project, Kennedy Acquah, explained in an interview with Starr FM that Shatta Wale had sent a representative over the weekend requesting an extension of the road to his SM secretariat.

Acquah clarified that he directed the request to Urban Roads, as the project’s terms were based on a formal contract.

This response reportedly angered Shatta Wale and his team. Acquah recounted that when Shatta Wale arrived at the site, he bypassed roadblock signs and approached the workers. As Acquah tried to explain the situation, one of Shatta Wale’s associates slapped him, while the artist himself stood by watching.

Acquah continued, “The police arrived but did nothing about the assault. Instead, they exchanged pleasantries with Shatta Wale and advised me to be careful.”

Other reports suggest that Shatta Wale was upset because he had given money to the contractors before traveling abroad, expecting them to extend the road to his office, but the work was not completed to his satisfaction. It was claimed that the contractors only resumed the project upon realizing that Shatta Wale had returned to Ghana.
