Techiman City FC President Writes to Head Coach Over Three-Week Absence from Training

Micky Charles, the President of Techiman City FC, has confirmed that the club has officially written to their head coach regarding his prolonged absence from training, which has now lasted nearly three weeks.
The coach, a former Hearts of Oak and King Faisal manager, was notably absent from the club’s Week 15 league match in Kumasi, and has not returned to any subsequent training sessions. Micky Charles stated that the coach had not provided any explanation for his absence and has been unresponsive to attempts to contact him.
“We have not received any information regarding his absence, and he hasn’t communicated with us about why he is not attending training,” Micky Charles explained. “I have personally tried to reach him several times, but he hasn’t answered my calls or returned them.”
He added that all of the coach’s outstanding salaries and bonuses were settled as of last week, which has left the club puzzled over the coach’s refusal to return to training as they prepare for the second half of the season.
In response to the situation, the club has sent a formal letter through their welfare officer, requesting an explanation for his prolonged absence. “We have written to him through our welfare officer, asking for an explanation for his absence from the club,” Charles said.
In addition to the coach, Charles revealed that five players have also been issued query letters for their own failure to attend training sessions.
