Nigerians go after Stonebwoy for saying Naija acts always pass through Ghana to blow
Stonebwoy has stirred reactions in Nigeria following a remark that triggered criticism from many Nigerians.
During an Instagram Live session with Nigerian media figure Tunde Balogun, Stonebwoy stated that “Nigerians have to always pass through Ghana, why? There’s a blessing here that you guys tap from and run with. No Ghanaian artiste who is big in Ghana had ever had to go to pass through Nigerian to qualify to blow in the country”.
He cited Mr Eazi to support his point. His statement quickly spread across Nigerian blogs, prompting responses from Nigerians who were displeased. One social media user questioned, “Why have they not tapped into that blessing themselves”.
Some went as far as using harsh words toward Stonebwoy, who recently collaborated with Keri Hilson on his Anloga Junction album. Another Instagram user, @thriftbysophie, commented, “Loool, if I didn’t school in Ghana I wouldn’t have known any Ghanaian artist Loool”.
