Shatta Wale, leader of the Shatta Movement, has named Patapaa as his top and most admired artiste.
In an interview with Joy FM, Shatta Wale explained that he favors Patapaa because, in his opinion, “sensible music” doesn’t thrive in Ghana. When asked if he was implying that Patapaa’s songs lack sense, Shatta Wale clarified that the tracks aren’t senseless — they simply match what Ghanaian audiences enjoy at the moment, which is why Patapaa continues to deliver in that style.
Patapaa is currently one of the hottest acts in the country, with his “Skopatumana” challenge making waves internationally.
During the same interview, Shatta Wale also revealed that he tried to reconcile with his baby mama, Michy, even seeking help from Rev. Obofour, but his efforts were unsuccessful.
