“Pappy Kojo Deserved Something” – Sammy Forson Criticizes VGMA Results

Live FM presenter Sammy Forson believes Charterhouse should have “shared” the awards at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) among the nominees, similar to how the BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards occasionally recognize multiple artists.
According to him, every nominee deserved to take home an award on Saturday night, regardless of the public voting results. His comments were largely in support of rapper Pappy Kojo, who has been ridiculed by many for leaving the event without a single win.
Pappy Kojo’s hit track Ay3 Late, which features Sarkodie, earned him nominations for Hip Hop Song of the Year, Best Collaboration of the Year, and Best Rapper of the Year, yet he did not win in any of the categories.
Sammy Forson argued that Pappy Kojo should at least have been acknowledged in one category.
“The VGMAs can’t acknowledge everyone, so the awards should be split up like the BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards. Pappy Kojo should have won something,” he tweeted on Sunday.
