Ghanaian rap star and multi-award-winning artist Sarkodie has earned another major recognition, as his 2014 hit Adonai featuring Castro has been ranked among Revolt TV’s top nine tracks to spark an Afrobeat obsession.

Afrobeat—originally pioneered by Fela Kuti and revived by a new generation—continues to dominate the global music scene. For newcomers looking to dive into the genre, this carefully curated list serves as the perfect starting point.

Among mostly Nigerian entries, Sarkodie and UK-based Ghanaian artist Fuse ODG were the only Ghanaians featured.
