John Dumelo Promotes Peace and Reveals Plans to Venture into Cocoa Farming

To help promote peace before, during, and after the upcoming elections, Ghanaian actor John Dumelo is currently touring the Brong-Ahafo Region, engaging communities, especially the youth, with messages of peace.
While speaking to residents, Dumelo, who is also an entrepreneur with a strong interest in agriculture, revealed his plans to venture into cocoa farming.
Addressing the people of the Asunafo North Municipality, he said he is fully prepared to enter cocoa production and encouraged the youth to develop the same passion.
He also interacted with excited groups of young people at Ahafoman Secondary Technical School and the Sarah Hotel, where he reminded them that Ghana is the world’s second-largest producer of cocoa and that Asunafo North contributes an impressive 40–45% of the nation’s output.
For this reason, he stressed the importance of taking cocoa farming seriously.
Dumelo further noted that the government, under President John Mahama, has made available free seedlings, fertilizers, and the support of agricultural officers to encourage youth participation in the sector.
In a separate conversation with GhanaPoliticsOnline.com, he shared that plans are well advanced for him to begin his cocoa farming project in Asunafo North and Goaso, adding that he hopes to involve as many young people as possible – a call that received enthusiastic support from them.
