Hiplife musician Okyeame Kwame is gearing up to release a new peace-themed song ahead of the December elections.
The upcoming track, which features highlife icon Daddy Lumba, is one of three peace songs the Rap Doctor has recorded to promote harmony and discourage violence during the election season.
Speaking on 3FM’s mid-morning show on Friday, he revealed:
“I have three songs for this period. I’ve recorded one peace song with Daddy Lumba that will be out very soon. I’ve also done another with Grammy-winning producer Skyler Jett and one more with Kaywa.”
Several public figures are currently involved in peace campaigns, encouraging the youth not to allow themselves to be influenced into acts of violence.
Ghana, often seen as a symbol of stability in West Africa, heads to the polls on December 7, 2016, to elect a president and members of parliament for the next four years.
