MPs for Okaikwei Central, Tema Central & Techiman South Sworn Into 9th Parliament Despite NDC Challenge

Newly elected Members of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, and Techiman South have officially been sworn into the 9th Parliament.
The MPs-elect participated in the parliamentary roll call during the inauguration ceremony led by the Clerk of Parliament. They subsequently took the parliamentary oath and the oath of office, both administered by the Speaker, Alban Bagbin.
Before the inauguration, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) filed a legal application seeking to prevent their swearing-in. The motion requested a stay of execution as the party intended to contest the validity of the election results in the three constituencies.
Although the detailed basis of the challenge was not disclosed, the NDC indicated that issues of fairness and transparency in the electoral process prompted the action.
